ABOUT MARYANN DEFFENBAUGH
MaryAnn Deffenbaugh is an independent curator and art consultant residing in Portland, Oregon. She founded Vernissage Fine Art to promote under represented artists of merit. Deffenbaugh’s involvement in the city’s art and culture scene has been extensive. She successfully ran the Pulliam Deffenbaugh Gallery in the Pearl for 20 years, served as the Portland Arts Dealers Association President, was active on the Board of the Gilkey Center for Graphic Arts at the Portland Art Museum and was a founding board member for the Portland Institute of Contemporary Art (PICA). Previous to joining Converge 45 as Executive Director in 2019, she served as Development Director and then Director of Public Programs at Oregon College of Art and Craft (OCAC). Deffenbaugh has supported Oregon’s ecology of arts organizations through volunteer work efforts such as Portland Art Focus, the Creative Advocacy Network and The Ford Family Foundation’s Arts Acquisition Panel. Ms Deffenbaugh currently serves on the Board of Converge 45, a visual arts non-profit that mounts biennial exhibitions. |
